​We hope you'll plan to have your kids join us this year for our Vacation Bible School. Our VBS theme this year is Over the Moat, Drawbridge to the King.

In addition to having a blast during our activities and games, your child will experience medieval life, complete with a castle, knights, and royalty. Through the lessons, they’ll see God’s sovereignty, love, and faithfulness demonstrated in the life of David, and will learn to praise the King of the universe.

Ages K - 6th Grade

DAY ONE

• BIBLE TEXT
• 1 Sam. 16:1-13
• TOPIC - God is King. Approach Him with love.
• MEMORY VERSE - “The Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart” (1 Sam. 16:7).
• THEME - Chosen: Samuel Anoints David.
• OBJECTIVE - Students will understand that having a heart pleasing to God begins with trusting Jesus as Savior.

DAY TWO

• 1 Sam. 17:1–51
• TOPIC - God is King. Trust Him for strength and courage.
• MEMORY VERSE - “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust” (Ps. 91:2).
• THEME - God is King. Trust Him for strength and courage.
• OBJECTIVE - Students will identify tasks for which they can trust God for strength and courage.

DAY THREE

• TOPIC - Praising God
• MEMORY VERSE - “The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust. . . . I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised” (Ps. 18:2, 3)
• THEME -God is King. Praise Him, for He is worthy.
• OBJECTIVE - God is King. Praise Him, for He is worthy.

DAY FOUR

• 2 Sam. 4:4; 9:1–7
• TOPIC - Telling others about God
• MEMORY VERSE - “Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people” (1 Chron. 16:8).
• OBJECTIVE - Students will honor the King by telling others about Him.

DAY FIVE

        2 Chron. 6:1—14

• TOPIC - Giving thanks to God
• MEMORY VERSE - “Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth” (Ps. 47:6, 7).
• THEME - God is King. Thank Him for His faithfulness.
• OBJECTIVE - Students will praise God in song and in prayer.
